Mr. W. Richard Sanders, Developer of High Valley Ranch, Midway, Utah
Mr. W. Richard Sanders graduated in political science and economics from Brigham Young University and later
from the University of Florida in law.
He has specialized in corporate, tax, and real estate law and served many clients in related fields of medicine and real estate, such as Sun Valley Company of Idaho, CareAge Corporation, and several hospital corporations. He has formed over 150 new business entities, real estate syndications, and limited partnerships, and has been legal counsel for major business divestitures and acquisitions. He formed and was counsel for the Sun Valley Forum on National Health, Inc., the first private foundation formed under the 1969 IRS Act, attracting some of the nation’s top medical and political luminaries as board members, including Avriell Harriman, Henry Cabot Lodge and William C. Janss. In addition, he helped rewrite and amend the Idaho Condominium Law.
He founded several businesses in technology-oriented industries including Sonic Corporation, Community Health Centers, LLC, in Prescott, Arizona and more recently TSC Consultants, LLC, a consulting service to medical providers and as a developer of planned communities, including High Valley Ranch of Midway, Utah.
Mr. Sanders grew up on a farm outside Caldwell, Idaho, and from an early age he was taught to appreciate and care for horses. His father was a member of the Sheriff’s horse posse where horses were used for hunting, parades, working the farm and transportation. He and his wife Judith raised six children of their own on an Idaho ranch stocked with animals and riding horses. The concept and design of High Valley Ranch has been the fulfillment of a vision to create a modern, state-of-the-art ranch in pristine Midway, Utah, for the next generation of horse lovers.
